The walk becomes the scene
A person leaves a café and heads into the street. Instead of cutting between stationary frames, you can follow, turn with them, and let the background change. DJI's three-axis gimbal is the reason to carry the Pocket 3: it makes that moving perspective unusually accessible in a device that fits in a pocket.
A 1-inch sensor, 10-bit D-Log M option, rotating screen, and 4K120 slow-motion mode give the small body more serious video range than its size suggests. None of those features replaces composition; the gimbal simply gives you a new way to compose while moving.
Where it stops being flexible
You cannot reach across a room with an optical zoom or change to a portrait lens. The Pocket 3 is the strongest choice here for the motion of a shot, while the Canon V1 is more adaptable when the camera stays put and the frame must change.

Let the camera travel.
The Pocket 3 is built around movement. Its mechanical gimbal corrects the camera's orientation as your hand moves, giving a walk a steadier, more deliberate feeling than simply cropping shaky footage afterward. Its fixed view also asks you to move closer or farther away to change the composition.
